Keep On Counting

I have heard the saying "no news is good news" one too many times. It must be my OB's favorite saying this last month. That being said, the 16 days my counter has on it might just be wrong and I could make it the full 21 days until my c section date. My body does not want to cooperate and start doing it's magic to let this baby out and I do not really think that is as much good news as the doctor does. There are all sorts of rules and procedures in place for women who want to try VBAC and I just wish my body would work correctly. Don't get me wrong, I want my child to come out strong and healthy but I am also to the final miserable pregnant stage and would love to enjoy the holidays without a 14 pound watermelon strapped to my front.

(I gained a whopping .2 pounds this last week)

Kyle has been great though picking up my slack. Without him our house and children would be starving, cold, and naked. Kyle has taken over laundry, cleaning, most dinner times, bed times, bath time, and more! I am most impressed though that Kyle has taken on pretty much all of these responsibilities without being asked and for that I am extremely happy!!

I am sure he is sick of my pregnant hormonal self just as much as I am yet he still keeps on keeping on and encourages me to not give up so close to the end!

So because I don't say it enough for the world to hear. . .
THANKS KYLE I LOVE YOU!

WOW!

I know I have told you about my super cute twin nieces before, and now I am going to tell you about them again (because it's my blog and I can!)
This picture just makes me say WOW!
Here is Shae's description of it...

"I was in my room and realized the girls were a little too quite so, I went to check on them. I found them behind the couch w/all of their Christmas gift unwrapped! lol I put my hands to my face (to cover my smile) and just said, "Oh My Gosh!" and then I ran for the camera!"

But my friends, let me just tell you there is still a present that is not under the tree that they would REALLY REALLY LOVE to receive, a little brother. Their parents are trying to adopt a baby and would love it if you would spread the word to anyone that you know to go check them out on this site.

Please help me help their Christmas wish come true!

**Almost 5 years ago Shae and John received a Christmas wish I believe it was 2 days after Christmas they the girls would be placed with them. Let's see if we can make it happen again this year!!**

Inches

I saw a picture like this the other day, it intrigued me so I figured I had to do it myself. Of course Hyrum saw me doing it and wanted in on the action too.
Paige=39 inches with 20 +/- days to go.
Hyrum= 21.5 inches at 5 years and 10 months old.

Thanksgiving Pictures

Kaden & Tristan slept through our Thanksgiving feast, but they enjoyed it together when they woke up!
After we stuffed ourselves we had everyone help us set up our tree. At first all the kids enjoyed fluffing up the branches but towards the end they got bored and Kyle & Robbie finished it up. Then Heather strung the lights.
Tristan & Kaden. Tristan is 6 months younger than Kaden but is just as big and lots of fun.
This is what happens when you play with Daddy.
I was in charge of handing the kids the ornaments. Also, my belly can look large and in charge!
Decorating the tree.
Miss Maya & Kaden playing outside.
All Hyrum wants for Christmas is his 2 front teeth!
Last night he lost the other bottom one.
(Well I yanked it against everyone else's wishes because it was hanging on by a thread!)
This is Hyrum's science fair board from his volcano project.

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving I am grateful that my family was all able to our house to eat and visit. We all had a lot of fun! I am also grateful that Kaden loves going places with Kyle & Hyrum. If he does not get to go with them he stomps his feet until he does. It's definitely something that brings a smile to my face. I also love how Hyrum remembers certain traditions about each holiday. About Thanksgiving he wanted to make sure we got the grape juice that is like soda in the wine bottle. This year we taught him how to make our own though and he even had Uncle Robbie help.
Pictures to come....

Rear Ended

Today I am thankful that if I had to be rear ended at least it was an honest person who stopped and that we are all safe! Hyrum is excited to pick out a new car seat too.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Weight Issues & Belly Pics

Why is it that I only seem to have issues gaining weight when I am pregnant?
I went to the doctor for a check up today and my blood pressure is low and the weight they want me to gain is just not coming. Really, I do not have this problem when I am not pregnant...when I am not pregnant it is like I cannot seem to keep the weight off. I have gained a whopping 13 pounds people! I am going to have this little wiggly guy and be skinnier then when I started just like with Hyrum.

Here are belly shots from tonight (finally) for your viewing pleasure.
Depending on which due date you use, I either have 3 weeks 2 days left (period) or 4 weeks 2 days left (ultrasound). And we are 35 days from the c section date. Quinten will be here before we know it! I am down to weekly visits! I am actually a little bit nervous because I have never pushed a kid out. I hope everything works out as planned. My hips crack when I move and roll. The doctor said that his head is starting to drop into the birth canal. No wonder it feels like I have a bowling ball between my legs! Other than that we are doing great over here at our house.

Thanksgiving

Because of my job and having a baby so close to Christmas it seems like we have skipped over Thanksgiving this year, however I just found this video online and wanted to share. I especially like the man right around 3 minutes and hope to be like his parents one day!

Hyrum's Disney Pictures

He's Back!

Hyrum survived Disney World!!
The entire time he was there he told us how much he hated all the roller coasters but now that he is back he tells everyone how brave he was and that he rode them all!! Gotta love being 5 years old and how your perspective changes. We did not know to warn him about all of the walking that he would be doing, miles and miles a day! Thanks to Aunt Jenna's amazing hook ups they went to every park multiple times and knew everything to see. Hyrum's new favorites are Chip & Dale. Hyrum loved staying up late and getting Star Wars Star Clone figurines. Now he just has to make it through the rest of this week at school and not get sick the rest of the quarter we will be set.
More Disney pictures to come later, I sent the CD home with Hyrum yesterday before even looking at it myself!

Kyle is actually being super dad back in San Antonio getting Hyrum ready for school, taking him, going to work, Kyle going to school himself, getting Hyrum home from a friend's house after work and being mom and dad to Hyrum for this week! Way to go Kyle. I think he will be glad when the week is over with!

I am staying in Houston with Kaden the last week I am allowed to travel outside of San Antonio. As of today the count down is down to 35 days!!! We are pretty much all ready for Quinten to come with the exception of something for him to wear home and packing our bags.

Kaden is growing so much right now. He loves having stairs to climb up and down at Grandma B's house and playing with all the telephones here. He is speaking/communicating more and more and loves playing hide and seek games with anyone will will give him attention. He is also the world's fastest climber and adventurer.

Oh yes, and another thing that I have learned is that it is much easier to get a security clearance pass at the airport when you don't have your giant 5 year old standing next to you. They do not even question his age. It is a much different story when you have a boy the size of most 7 year olds standing by your side.

Wanted

Anyone have a spare human kidney laying around they would like to donate to me. Preferably one that does not make these little guys?

Thanks! I would really appreciate it! If you care to read more about my problem click here.

Too Bright?

Kaden enjoys it being DARK when he falls asleep. We have room darkening curtains blocking the window already. When Kyle or I go in to check on him he usually has the pillow pulled up over his head and his little body hanging out. If he covers up his face, you can usually bet that he has his George's head covered too. George is his best sleeping friend!
Tonight I guess he thought it was extra bright because he had his hand covering his eyes when I took the pillow off his face to cover him up.
This is funny to us because he is the complete opposite of Hyrum and lights at night. Hyrum falls asleep with a night light and a flash light and if we would let him he would have the closet light on too.

**If anyone has one of these Kohl's Curious George stuffed animals that they want to get rid of please save him for Kaden. Kohl's sold them last Christmas season and I am desperately looking for a back up in case he gets left anywhere or gets dirty and has to be washed.**

Exploding Volcanoes!

This weekend we have spent working on Hyrum's Science Fair Project. It was an optional thing but we figured Hyrum should do it because he is going to be missing 3 days of school the end of this week and start of next week at Disney World with Aunts Heidi & Jenna. We looked online and finally Hyrum decided he wanted to do his project on volcanoes. He had fun making mixing up the dough for his volcano and adding everything together. He did not like that he was not allowed to be the one to pour the vinegar to make it explode but loved watching the "hot lava explode everywhere!" Here are some pictures of him working. Tomorrow when we take him to school and he gets to present to his class we will take a picture of his project board and post. He is excited that he gets to teach his class about exploding volcanoes!

Best Friends

Hyrum has finally agreed that Kaden is his best friend! He wants to play with him and include him in things even though Kaden is known as the tornado. Moments like these make my days worth it!
